On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 2:02 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to the Sheetz gas station located at 5200 New Bern Ave in reference to a shooting incident. Officers arrived and were able to determine that everyone involved had left the scene. Preliminary information suggests a suspect had discharged a firearm striking a vehicle in the parking lot. At this time it is not believed anyone sustained injuries during this incident.
We ask that the public avoid the area as officers remain in the area investigating.
