The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards celebrate outstanding new contributions to the character, environment and appearance of the City of Raleigh.

Submit your nominations for the 2025 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards now through Monday, May 12 at 11:59 p.m. to recognize projects and individuals that have contributed to excellent design in our city. Each nomination must include a minimum of 10 digital photos of the project.

The award categories encompass a wide range of projects and designers, highlighting innovation and the positive effects of design on our community. These categories can include:  

  • Residential  
  • Commercial  
  • Rehabilitation/Historic Preservation  
  • Public Facilities  
  • Public Spaces  
  • Landscape Design  
  • Community Impact  
  • Educational  
  • Master Plan
