Update:
Debria Nicole Moore, 31, has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Ashley Surles, 28. Moore has been charged with the following:
Felony- First Degree Murder
Felony- Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana
Felony- Maintain Vehicle, Dwelling, or Place for Keeping or Selling a Controlled Substance

The following release was distributed on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 7:46 a.m.
On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at approximately 3:28 a.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 3800 block of Bonneville Court. Responding officers located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives responded to the scene to collect evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
