Update:
The Raleigh Police Department has made an arrest in the homicide of Damien Devon Smith, 45.
Solomon Elijah Campbell, 20, has been arrested and charged with Murder.

The following release was distributed on January 4, 2025, at 4:39 p.m.
On Saturday, January 4, 2025, at approximately 3:28 p.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the parking deck located at 117 S. Wilmington St. The Responding officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
No arrests have been made.
Officers and detectives are on the scene collecting evidence and determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
