The Client Acceptance Team is the biggest team in the Continuous Improvement and Customer Service (CICS) division, with 13 people focused on intake and permit processing. As the Development Manager overseeing this team, I’m excited to share three ways we’ve used your feedback to improve processes and the permitting experience:
- We’ve reduced the time from when a plan is submitted to when it’s reviewed. It used to take more than 10 days, but now it’s under 5, and we’re aiming for 2.
- We’ve streamlined the field and plan revision policy expedite the process for everyone. The policy now allows more flexibility for field inspectors to work with clients so that their projects can continue making progress to completion.
- We’ve worked with the fire department to create a separate process for Shop Drawing submissions. This effort will expedite reviews and reduce construction delays.
Your feedback is important to us, and we’re excited to keep building strong relationships in the year ahead!
