We are entering a new season, and that means...more exciting projects are coming to Raleigh!
Changes coming to Lake Wheeler Road!
 Big changes are coming to Lake Wheeler Road between South Sounders Street and Maywood Avenue. Lake Wheeler Road is currently a two-lane road with no pedestrian or bike facilities, but we are making some improvements!
Construction on Lake Wheeler Road is expected to begin Winter 2025.
Let's look at some of the features we are proposing:
- Peanut roundabout
- Raised intersections
- Bike lanes
- Improved sidewalks
Blue Ridge Road Bike-Ped Project
 Contractors will resume construction soon! Our goal for this project is to improve bike and pedestrian connectivity in Raleigh, so we are installing a multi-use path, pedestrian bridge, and protected intersection.
