Update:
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, an additional arrest was made in connection with the shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Fayetteville Street on August 25, 2024.
Khalil Lamont Barnes, 29, was arrested and charged with Felony Conspiracy.

The following release was distributed on September 23, 2024, at 7:40 p.m.
On August 25, 2024, at 2:39 AM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 400 block of Fayetteville Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officers and detectives spoke with witnesses and collected evidence from the scene.
Through investigative means, detectives identified and charged Daniel Hezekiah Anderson, 25, with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Felony Conspiracy.
Anderson was taken into custody today in Cary with the assistance of the Cary Police Department.
This continues to be an ongoing investigation.
