Update:
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Marco Antonio Eguia-Cedillo, 24, was arrested and charged in connection with the robberies of the Wells Fargo Bank on Lassiter Mill Road on August 2, 2024, and the PNC Bank on Capital Boulevard on September 6, 2024.
Eguia-Cedillo has been charged with two counts of Felony-Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon.

On Friday, August 2, 2024, at approximately 2:28 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at Wells Fargo Bank, 4220 Lassiter Mill Road. The adult male suspect demanded money by passing a note and fled with an undisclosed amount of currency. A weapon was implied but not seen.
Officers and detectives are on the scene, determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
