Update:
An arrest has been made in the homicide that took place in the 700 block of Navaho Drive on August 5. Mario Fernando Sevilla Cubias, 39, was arrested by troopers of the Arizona Department of Public Safety on Interstate 40 at Milepost 218. Cubias awaits extradition back to North Carolina for the murder of Angel Cirilo De Leon Andrade, 32.
Cubias’s destination is unknown and part of the ongoing investigation.

Wanda Geomey Moreta-de-Hernan, 54, was also arrested in Raleigh in connection with this homicide. Moreta-de-Hernan is charged with Accessory After the Fact- Murder. Her photo is below.

At approximately 8:11 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported person shot in the 700 block of Navaho Drive. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
There are no suspects in custody.
Officers and detectives are on the scene collecting evidence and determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
