I am honored and excited to serve as the new assistant director of the Continuous Improvement and Customer Service division. I am grateful that leadership is entrusting me with this important responsibility. The department prioritizes the growth and development of our community. I am committed to building on that foundation by improving the customer’s experience. Development is about more than applications and regulations. It's about shaping the spaces where people live, work, and play. I acknowledge shaping those spaces is not always so simple. Whether you’re a “do-it-yourself” homeowner, homebuilder or large-scale place maker, your feedback is invaluable to the experience. Consider the following goals when engaging us throughout this year:
Predictability in the development process. You can expect staff to identify and eliminate unnecessary steps to make the permit application process more efficient.
Timeliness in communication. You can expect prompt communication between staff and customers.
Quality in the delivery of our services. You can expect staff to identify issues early and propose options to mitigate those issues.
“One customer's experience is an opportunity for us to learn and provide exceptional service to others.”
Sincerely,
Daniel Stegall - Assistant Planning and Development Director
