The Raleigh Police Department has made an arrest in connection with this homicide.
Montravius Malik Montgomery, 29, has been arrested and charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, at approximately 1:11 p.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 5400 block of Rock Quarry Road. Responding officers located Steven Andrea Jones ll, 28, suffering from a single gunshot wound. Jones was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. This incident is now being investigated as a homicide.
A suspect has not been taken into custody.
This is an ongoing investigation.
