An adult female was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The below news release was distributed at 9:39 AM:
At approximately 9:09 AM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 200 block of South Salisbury Street. South Salisbury Street between Martin and Hargett Streets is closed while officers and detectives investigate.
There is no threat to the community.
