The Raleigh Police Department has made an arrest in this homicide. A 14-year-old juvenile has been taken into custody and charged with murder.

This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Amari Goss, 24, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
At this time, this does not appear to be related to the shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Bragg Street on February 5, 2024.
This is an ongoing investigation.

At approximately 3:33 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Poole Road for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers and detectives are on the scene collecting evidence and determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This is an ongoing investigation. A suspect has not been taken into custody.
Poole Road traffic is being diverted while officers and detectives conduct the investigation.
