The Raleigh Police Department is seeking information regarding the location of Victor Alexander Newman, 31, who is wanted in connection with this homicide.
On July 19, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported person shot in the 2700 block of Poole Rd. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and later died.
Newman is a black male and is around six feet, two inches tall.

At approximately 3:44 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported person shot in the 2700 block of Poole Rd. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers and detectives are on the scene determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
There is no threat to the community, and this appears to be an isolated incident.
This is an ongoing investigation, and there are no suspects in custody.
Poole Road between Donald Ross Drive and Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard is closed as the investigation progresses. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
