The Raleigh Police Department has arrested Christopher Joyner, 41, in connection with this incident. He has been charged with the following:
Felony- Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony- Attempted First-Degree Forcible Rape
Felony- Assault by Strangulation
Felony- Larceny of Motor Vehicle
Felony- First-Degree Kidnapping
Misdemeanor- Possession of Stolen Goods/Property

On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at approximately 2:47 p.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported kidnapping in the 100 block of Turner St. Responding officers located an adult female victim who stated that an adult male had kidnapped her.
The victim is safe.
Officers and detectives are on the scene collecting evidence and determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
There is no threat to the community.
There is no suspect in custody.
This is an ongoing investigation.
