Update:
The Raleigh Police Department has made arrests in the fatal hit-and-run crash involving a juvenile near the 6500 block of Hillsborough Street on November 25, 2022.
The arrests were made as a result of a tip that was generated by a recent information checkpoint that was conducted on May 12, 2023.
Additional information will be released at the appropriate time.

The Raleigh Police Department continues to seek information about the fatal hit-and-run crash involving a juvenile near the 6500 block of Hillsborough Street. Despite continuing efforts by investigators and leads from the public, the individual responsible for this incident has not been identified. The RPD will again provide information to drivers in the 6500 block of Hillsborough Street on Friday, May 12, at 7 PM. During this operation, officers will hand out flyers with additional information related to this fatal crash to generate any tips that will lead to the suspect's apprehension in this case.

The Raleigh Police Department will provide information to drivers in the area of the 6500 block of Hillsborough Street on Friday, December 16, at 3 PM. During this operation, officers will hand out flyers with additional information related to this fatal crash to generate any tips that will lead to the suspect's apprehension in this case.

At approximately 7:33 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a wreck involving a female juvenile pedestrian near Hillsborough Street and Bashford Road. The preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road near the 6500 block of Hillsborough Street and was not in a crosswalk. An eastbound vehicle on Hillsborough Street struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2006-2008 Hyundai hybrid passenger car.
