Raleigh Arts HeaderBike Month Muralist Mayanthi

Meet the Bike Month Mural Artist

Mayanthi Jayawardena is the artist behind the newest Bike Month 2023 mural! Located in Downtown Raleigh on Harrington Street, the mural celebrates movement, health, wellness, and the outdoors through cycling. Inspired by her Sri Lankan culture, Mayanthi uses vibrant, bold, free-flowing shapes to accentuate the silhouettes of bicycles. Raleigh locals (and visitors!) can find free bike-friendly events throughout the month of May.

Find the mural on the side of the Exploris Middle School building at 67 S Harrington Street.
