Possible Flooding on Greenway Trails
Due to inclement weather, the Capital Area Greenway System could be flooded in multiple areas. Use caution and do not attempt to cross floodwaters covering any section of the Capital Area Greenway System. On segments of the Greenway System that are clear of floodwaters, take extra caution and slow down when transitioning from asphalt and/or concrete trail segments to wooden bridges and structures. Wood takes longer to dry after rain events and is a naturally smoother surface than asphalt or concrete. These characteristics result in wood surfaces having less traction than asphalt or concrete. Use caution, be safe, and enjoy the Capital Area Greenway System.
