Raleigh Police Respond to Shooting at Corner of Russ Street and Poole Road

At approximately 7:48 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 200 block of Lightner Lane. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported for treatment of his injury. Initial investigation reveals that the shooting incident occurred at the corner of Russ Street and Poole Road. However, the victim had driven himself to the Lightner Lane location. Officers and detectives are on scene conducting a follow-up investigation.
