Raleigh Police Make Arrest in Serious Injury Traffic Crash

At approximately 12:58 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers were dispatched to a serious injury traffic crash involving a car and a motorcycle at the corner of Capital Boulevard and Homestead Drive. Upon arrival, officers located the motorcyclist suffering with serious injuries. He was transported for treatment.
Jamal Desmond Jones (DOB 1/5/98), the driver of the car, fled the scene of the crash but was soon arrested and charged with Felony Hit and Run Inflicting Serious Injury. His photo is linked below.
The investigation is ongoing. A crash report will be made available once it is completed.
