Raleigh Police Department Officers Arrest Protesters

At approximately 8 p.m. on April 18, a large crowd of protesters began marching throughout Downtown Raleigh. Soon thereafter, members of the crowd began impeding traffic, throwing items, damaging property, and setting several small fires. Due to these illegal activities, Raleigh Police Department declared the assembly unlawful at 8:16 p.m. and ordered the crowd to disperse. After making the announcement numerous times and providing them ample opportunity to voluntarily comply, RPD officers arrested 12 individuals.
- Jonathan Spencer Copes (DOB 7/7/98) was charged with Failure to Disperse and Simple Assault.
- Kimberly Phistry (DOB 2/12/89) was charged with Failure to Disperse and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
- Patrick Thomas Mateer (DOB1/18/93) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Ian Michael Holbogen (DOB 9/28/01) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Alexander Jarod Stop (DOB 1/23/01) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Laila Danae Houston (DOB 7/22/99) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Uriah Madar (DOB 10/3/00) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Nathaniel Yao (DOB 5/13/97) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Miguell Delangelo Staten (DOB 1/3/72) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Marion Ellis Driver (DOB 2/1/90) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Loren T. Whitaker (DOB 102/91) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
- Richard Randall Snyder (DOB 9/16/96) was charged with Failure to Disperse.
