Arrest Made: Raleigh Police Respond to Shooting on McGuire Drive

Homicide detectives have charged Leronte Ahkei Williams, 26, with two counts of murder in connection with this incident below. He is currently in the Wake County Detention Center. His photo is available at a link below.

Upon arrival, Raleigh Police Department officers located two victims, Teleah Janae Richmond, 27, and Taferious Traquail Cannady, 24, who were deceased in a vehicle.

At approximately 11:07 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a call concerning a shooting that occurred in the 8100 block of McGuire Drive. Follow-up investigation is underway. Additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.
