Raleigh Police Officers Make Arrests During Election Night Protest

On the evening of November 3 at approximately 8:35 p.m., a large crowd of protestors gathered near the State Capital grounds and began to march throughout the Downtown Raleigh area. Shortly thereafter, members of the group began to engage in unlawful activities including throwing fireworks and other items. At 9:46 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers began to notify the crowd that the gathering had become an unlawful assembly because of the unlawful activities. Subsequently, officers made six arrests. The protestors began to disperse shortly after 10 p.m.
Those arrested include:
- Daniel Nathan Mahoney (DOB 11/18/1989), charged with Assault on LEO/Failure to Disperse;
- Annas Elizabeth Nowak (DOB 5/1/2001), charged with Disorderly Conduct/ Failure to Disperse;
- Jacob Taylor Law (DOB 6/1/1996), charged with Resist, Delay, Obstruct/Failure to Disperse;
- Max Sebastian Henry-Williams (DOB 3/2/1994), charged with Assault on LEO / Resist, Delay, Obstruct;
- Claire Elaine Fraleigh (DOB 7/10/2000), charged with Assault on LEO / Resist, Delay, Obstruct;
- and Zoe Christina Schwandt (DOB 9/30/1994), charged with Failure to Disperse.
