Raleigh Police detectives arrested Raekwon Quazai Williams (DOB 5/8/96) and Xavier Cortez Alston (DOB 2/6/96) in connection with this homicide. Williams is charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder. Alston is charged with Murder.

Raleigh Police Department homicide detectives are seeking information regarding the vehicle in the attached photo that may be connected with this incident. Preliminary information indicates the suspect(s) were traveling in a white Chevy Aveo or a white Chevy Sonic hatchback. Both are similar vehicles.

The victim in this incident has been identified as Arlo Dontel Ramsey, 44, of Durham. The shooting occurred on I-440 Westbound between New Bern Avenue and Brentwood Road. Raleigh Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide. At approximately 3:57 a.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting call at Hillsborough Street and Glenwood Avenue. Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to WakeMed, where he was pronounced deceased.
Follow-up investigation is underway and additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.
