GoRaleigh Announces New Routes
for the New Year

GoRaleigh, the City of Raleigh’s transit service, announces details about new bus routes and service changes that go into effect on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Southeast and northwest Raleigh areas get updates and new routes to their lineups. Details of the changes are below, and online schedules of the new changes can be found at www.goraleigh.org. The extended bus services are a result of the Wake Transit Plan*.

SOUTHEAST RALEIGH
Route 17 – NEW!
From Downtown, serves Rock Quarry Rd to Shoppes at Battle Bridge, with service to Walnut Creek Elementary, Southeast Raleigh High School and Farmington Square

Route 18
Adds hourly service to Peyton St, Glenbrook Dr, Beverly Dr, Barwell Rd, Rock Quarry Rd (ending at Shoppes at Battle Bridge Rd)

Route 18S (peak service only) – NEW!
Serves Downtown Raleigh, Peyton St, Glenbrook Dr, Beverly Dr, Poole Rd/Bus Way

Route 19
Now with 15-minute service all day on MLK Jr Blvd and Sunnybrook Rd - No longer serving Glenbrook Dr, Belmont Dr, Peyton St, Grantland Dr, Lunar Dr

NORTHWEST RALEIGH
Route 4
No longer serving Edwards Mill Rd, Crabtree Valley Mall, Creedmoor Rd or Strickland Rd – now covered by Route 26 and Route 36

Route 16
Route now ends at Crabtree Valley Mall, service from Blue Ridge Rd to Rex Hospital now covered by Route 27

Route 26 – NEW!
Now serving Crabtree Valley Mall, Edwards Mill Rd, Chapel Hill Rd, Nowell Rd, PNC Arena, Trinity Rd

Route 27 – NEW!
Now serving Crabtree Valley Mall, Rex Hospital, Blue Ridge Rd, NC Museum of Art, State Fairgrounds, Hillsborough St, Western Blvd

Route 36 – NEW!
Now serving Towne North Shopping Center, Creedmoor Rd, Crabtree Valley Mall
