CAPER Draft Available for Comment
How has the Community Development Division spent federal money for housing and community development in the past year? How many affordable apartments and houses did the City of Raleigh sponsor or develop? How many low-income houses were rehabilitated? How did the Community Development Division aid organizations working with the homeless?
The Community Development Division is unique within the City of Raleigh because it is primarily federally funded. The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) is a report to the Federal Government (US Dept of Housing and Urban Development) that shows the areas in which this money has been spent and the demographic breakdown of people who benefited from Community Development programs.
The CAPER Draft for the past fiscal year (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018) is on the Housing and Neighborhoods page for the public to review. You can send us comments about the CAPER Draft to cd.info@Raleighnc.gov until September 14th. Comments will be addressed in the final updated CAPER that will also be posted on the Housing and Neighborhoods page in late September. You may request a paper copy by calling (919) 996-4330.
