Raleigh Police Investigating Louisburg Road Traffic Fatality

Raleigh Police Department officers are investigating a traffic fatality in the 5200 block of Louisburg Road at the Fox Road intersection. Subsequent to the crash, the vehicle operated by the decedent caught fire. Three passengers in the second vehicle involved were transported to Wake Med with  non-life threatening injuries.

Inbound lanes of Louisburg Road are temporarily closed between Fox Road and Sweet Shade Trail near Spring Forest Road. Officers are redirecting traffic; motorists are advised to find alternate routes.

The call came in at 10:49 a.m. A wreck report concerning the crash will be provided after the investigation has been completed. No further information is available at this time.
