New Roadway Projects

Three new roadway projects were added to the division's active list this winter, the Oberlin Road Streetscaping Project, the Blue Ridge Road Widening Project, and the Poole Road Widening Projects. All three projects are at the beginning of the design phase. Design consultants have been hired for each project, and topographical surveys have been completed. Once preliminary designs are completed public meetings will be scheduled to show the public what basic ideas the consultants have come with and to take public comments regarding the design.

Blue Ridge Road Widening Project

The intent of the Blue Ridge Road Widening Project is to widen a segment of the road from Duraleigh Road to Crabtree Valley Avenue. The design consultant (Kimley Horn) has conducted surveys and collected data along the corridor and is currently working on the preliminary designs. The first public meeting is scheduled for later this summer, and the project is projected to be completed Spring, 2022. To stay up to date on the status of the project visit the project webpage for details and updates.
