Raleigh Stormwater Receives WakeUp Wake County Leadership Award
The Stormwater Management Division received the WakeUP Wake County 2017 Leadership Award for leading efforts in developing and implementing the City's Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) initiative. These efforts have made it easier for the development community to include GSI practices into land development and play a key role in reducing environmental impacts to water quality and ensuring the continued health of Raleigh's waterways.
The award was presented at WakeUP Wake County's annual meeting and community forum on March 7 where several individuals and organizations were recognized for their work in advancing heathy, sustainable communities and planning well for Wake County's rapid growth.
