City of Raleigh Debuts BikeRaleigh Mobile App
The
City of Raleigh has released a new BikeRaleigh mobile application for
smartphones, which is now available for Android and Apple users.

Raleigh Appoints Director of New Engineering Services Department
Richard Kelly, currently serving as interim director of the City of
Raleigh Public Works Department, has been named director of the City’s
new Engineering Services Department. City Manager Ruffin Hall announced
today that Mr. Kelly will begin his new duties on July 2.

City Offices To Close July 4 for Independence Day Holiday; Trash Collection Schedule Not Affected
The City of Raleigh’s administrative offices will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

June 24 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 2 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
June 25 Dennis Street will be closed between Midwood Drive and Bennett Street from 5:15 p.m. at 11 p.m.
June 26 The following streets will be closed from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.:
- Parham Street between Martin Street and Wolfe Street;
- Blake Street from Martin Street and Davie Street; and,
- Wolfe Street between Blount Street and Blake Street.
June 30 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
July 1 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 2 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
July 7 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
July 14 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
July 21 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
July 28 Fayetteville Street will be closed between Davie Street and Lenoir Street from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. the following morning.
