Blount St - Person St Corridor Study Header

This February, the City of Raleigh was excited to be awarded funding from CAMPO to implement Phase I of the Blount/Person Corridor Study. The project is currently in design and will include:

  • Resurfacing for Blount and Person Streets from Edenton Street to Wake Forest Road.
  • Resurfacing for Wake Forest Road from Person Street to Brookside Avenue.
  • Road diet conversion for Wake Forest Road from existing 4 lanes to 3 lanes, including a center turn lane and bike lanes (Person Street to Brookside Avenue).
  • Conversion of Blount and Person Streets from existing 2 or 3 lanes to 2 lanes with bike lane from Wake Forest Road to Hoke Street.

Leading up to our 1st design open house next Monday, we would like to hear what you think about the project and a few alternatives in the Person Street Business District (Person Street from Peace Street to Wake Forest Road).

Please visit our project website and Cityzen poll to help us decide on the right solution for the Person Street Business District, or come to the design open house (4:30-6:00 p.m.) before Monday’s BPAC Meeting at Raleigh City Hall.
