Raleigh Water Rated Best Tasting In the State at Annual NC AWWA-WEA Conference
The City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department received a first place
award in the “Best Tasting Water” contest held at the 95th North
Carolina American Water Works Association and Water Environment
Association (NC AWWA-WEA) annual conference.

The 2015 WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Nov. 21.
Greater Raleigh Merchants Association Start time: 9:40 a.m.

The Raleigh Christmas parade will impact
traffic downtown from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The following roads will be
closed during that time:
- Hillsborough Street from W. Morgan Street and Boylan Avenue;
- St. Mary's Street from W. Jones Street and W. Morgan Street; and,
- Snow Avenue between W. Morgan Street and Hillsborough Street.
The following roads will be closed no earlier than 7 a.m. and no later than 2 p.m. to facilitate the parade route:
- The parade will begin at Hillsborough Street and St. Mary's Street and head east;
- Turn right on Salisbury Street;
- Left on Morgan Street;
- Right on Fayetteville Street;
- Right on Davie Street; and,
- Right on Lenoir Street.
November 21
All parking spaces on the northern side of East Davie Street between
Blount Street and Blake Street will be unavailable from 10 a.m. to 8
p.m.
November 22 Blount Street will be closed between Hargett Street and Martin Street from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
November 26
Traffic will be affected near Ridgewood Shopping Center from 8 a.m. to
9:30 a.m. for a road race. Runners will start at the shopping center and
head north on Ridge Road, turn right on Glen Eden Drive, left on
Lubbock Drive, right on Ranlo Drive, left on Vick Avenue, left on
Childers Street, left on Blenheim Drive, left on Ridge Road, and finish
between Wade Avenue and Leonard Street.
December 4 E. Hargett Street will be closed from Fayetteville Street to Wilmington Street from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m.
December 5
Dunn Road will be closed between Cokesbury Lane and River Bank Drive
and Falls River Avenue will be closed between Cokesbury Lane and Catara
Drive from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
December 5 Fayetteville Street will be closed between
Martin Street and Lenoir Street and Davie Street will be closed between
S. Salisbury Street and S. Wilmington Street from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
