Echo Farms Pool

   The Echo Farms Park pool is now open for the season! We are offering adult lap swim, family/public swim and group fitness classes through the Senior Resource Center for those 55+ years of age. 

Pool Hours

Lap Swim: 
Tuesday & Thursday; 7:00 - 8:30am
Public Swim: 
Monday-Thursday; Sat & Sun
                            11:00am - 6:00pm
                            Friday: 11:00am - 7:00pm

Water Aerobics 
(Sponsored by the Senior Resource Center)

Registration opens June 1st and is available up to one week prior to each class date. Classes begin June 8th.  

Class Schedule:
Monday-Wednesday & Friday; 8:30am–9:30am

TrashMob_June2026

Trash Mob
  The Trash Mob was created as a fun way to help keep the streets of New Hanover County clean by picking up litter. If you're interested in helping, join us at the next one which will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 9-10:30am. We will meet at Parkwood Park (4827 Canetuck Road) at 8:45am.
  The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has new requirements for roadside cleanups. All volunteers must
• Be at least 16 years of age to participate
• Complete/sign a waiver (available on site)
• Watch a brief safety video (about 2 minutes):

Butterfly Releases

Butterfly Releases at Airlie Gardens

Tuesdays, June 2 - September 1;
10–10:30 am

  Experience the magic of watching new butterflies take flight inside our native Butterfly House! Each week, one of our environmental educators will guide you through the release and share fascinating insights into:

• The stages of a butterfly’s life
• The species currently in our Butterfly House
• How to support native pollinators in your own backyard

Pop-Up

Smith Creek Park
Pop-Up

  Stop by our pop-up station near the restrooms and playground to learn about "scales and fins"! Staff will be on site on June 12th from 9:00am - 1:00pm. 
  Park pop-ups are a drop-in program hosted by our environmental educators! Each month we will bring different biofacts and resources, for guests to stop by and asks questions.
  Drop by anytime during event hours. No registration is  required. 

Airlie Gardens Concert Series

The Airlie Gardens Summer Concert Series begins in June! General public tickets will go on sale the week of each concert. Parking is off-site at the Northeast Library, 1241 Military Cutoff Road with free shuttle service to Airlie. Shuttles start running at 5pm. On-site parking at Airlie Gardens is by permit only.
