Get Ready For Spring With a Nature Walk at Pages Creek Park Preserve! 
  Celebrate the beauty of nature and the arrival of spring with us! Join our environmental educators for a Nature Walk at Pages Creek Park Preserve and discover the wonders of the native plants and animals that call this park home. Take a peaceful stroll among the trees, breathe in the fresh air, and learn fascinating facts about local wildlife and vegetation.    The walk will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd from 9:30-10:30am. Wasps&Bees_SpeakerSeries

Speaker Series: Wasps & Bees of the Wilmington Area w/Dr. Wayne Hoffman
   This talk will describe the ancestry and radiation of the Hymenoptera, the order of Insects that includes Wasps and Bees (and also Ants and Sawflies).  It will be illustrated with over 60 photographs of the larger and more colorful local species, and describe the habitat and life histories of many of them.  It will also highlight the roles of many of them as pollinators, and of others as predators and control agents of other insect pests. After the lecture, you will enjoy a short walk in the pollinator garden (weather permitting). This event will take place on March 18th from 6:30-7:30pm at Airlie Gardens. Register Here

Airlie Art Exhibit Call for Artists!
  For the 14th year, Airlie Gardens is seeking artists for its 2026 Art Exhibit: Unfrogettable. Those selected will decorate, paint, and adorn one of ten oversized fiberglass frog sculptures which will be displayed throughout the gardens from July through December 2026.

Trash Mob
  Want to help keep our county clean and tidy? Join us for our upcoming Trash Mob on Saturday, March 7th from 9-11 a.m. We’ll meet at Parkwood Park (4827 Canetuck Road) and work together to pick up litter along Harris and Gordon Roads. We provide gloves, safety vests, trash bags, and pickers. (Must be at least 16 years old to participate.)
  Trash talking encouraged...but only about the litter.

Food Truck Rodeo  
  Join us Sunday, April 26, 12Noon–5 p.m. at Ogden Park for our next Food Truck Rodeo! Enjoy delicious eats from local food trucks in a fun, family-friendly setting. Bring a blanket or chair and come hungry!
  Proceeds benefit the new All Wheels Pump Track at Northern Regional Park.
