A New Year of Growth, Connection & Community
As we welcome the new year, we’re excited to share some incredible improvements happening across New Hanover County Parks & Gardens!

~ Airlie Gardens completed its 13th year of art exhibits with Birds of a Feather, showcasing unique, artist-designed pieces throughout the gardens.

Each of these enhancements, completed projects and exhibits represent our mission to enrich the spaces where our community connects, plays, and grows.
January Speaker Series
This month, we’re hosting two engaging speaker sessions; an opportunity to educate, inspire, and connect with our community. Start the new year by joining us!
Worms With a Mission Join Carole and Pedro Mayet of Worms With A Mission as they share their passion for promoting plant health through natural gardening methods rooted in environmental stewardship. During this program, (held on January 23rd at 9:30am) they will lead a presentation on worm castings: their benefits, uses, and role in sustainable gardening. Register Here.

Winter Birds of Southeastern North Carolina Join Jill Peleuses, Co-Founder of Cape Fear Bird Observatory and owner of Wild Bird & Garden, for a presentation on Airlie's winter resident birds, followed by a guided bird walk to explore some of the garden’s best birding spots.
