Fall has arrived! Now is the perfect time to explore all that our parks have to offer. There's lots to explore on your own, or you can participate in the following programs and activities which are held at Airlie Gardens:
Owl Prowl & Evening Birding Join Airlie Gardens educators for an evening of birding! Fall is an excellent time to spot owls, as they perch and prepare for hunting. With some luck, we might hear their calls or catch sight of them as they begin their evening search for food. While there is no guarantee of an owl sighting, the scenic Airlie Lake at dusk is a beautiful sight as birds settle in for the night. This event is appropriate for ages 8 and up. Pre-registration is required. We recommend that you register early as this program does fill up quickly. Register here.

Guided History Tour Explore the rich history, horticulture, and ecology of Airlie Gardens on a guided walking tour! This leisurely one-mile walk includes frequent stops to take in the beauty of the grounds. The program is held outdoors, and in the event of inclement weather, the tour will be canceled. Advance registration is required. Click here to register.

Sensory Backpacks Available at Airlie Gardens For children with sensory differences, choosing to leave the comfort of indoor routines can be intimidating. Our sensory backpack contain items that will help a child with sensory differences to feel comfortable outside. The items were selected based on research that has shown the benefit they can have for calming, de-escalating, communicating and refocusing children who need additional support. If interested, just ask a ticket agent when you arrive.
