It's Spring Bloom at Airlie!
  Spring is in the air and the blooms at Airlie boast beautiful and vibrant colors. Azaleas typically are in bloom between mid-march through mid-April, depending on the weather. We have well over 75,000 azaleas on the property. Advance tickets are recommended for gardens admission, so be sure to purchase your tickets at AirlieGardens.org before you arrive. (Remember to wear your comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle. Restroom are located in the mail building.)

* This month, FREE DAY at Airlie Gardens is April 14th. You must reserve your ticket in advance as the gardens will be bustling with activity. Click here to reserve tickets.
** Airlie will be closed ALL DAY for a private event on Friday, April 5th.

This Month, The Spotlight is on...Hanover Pines Nature Park  We are excited about the recent opening of our newest park located at 6101 Carolina Beach Road, in the southern end of the county. The 42.5-acre park is home to a picnic shelter, owl-themed playground, restrooms, dog park (the biggest in the county's park system), and a 1.25 mile walking trail. The park is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to sunset. When you are out and about, stop by and check out our 17th park. For more information, please visit our website: NHC-Hanover Pines.

Food Truck Rodeo
  Our next Food Truck Rodeo will take place at Ogden Park, Sunday, April 14th from 12noon-5:00pm. We'll have a great selection of food trucks and the proceeds will go to an All Wheels Pump Track at Northern Regional Park. There is no cost to attend. Bring a blanket or chair to sit while you enjoy your food.

TryTennis

"Try Tennis" at Echo Farms
  There is an opportunity for you to "Try Tennis" beginning April 10th. This is an instructional program for beginners or those who have not picked up a racket in years. There are four sessions from 9:00-10:30am beginning Wednesday, April 10th-Wednesday, May 1st. The cost is $40. Come on out and give it a TRY! To register and for more information Click Here.
