October2023Newsletter

Fall has arrived! This is the perfect time to get outdoors and check out some of the county parks and gardens. There's lots to explore on your own, or you can participate in the following programs and activities:

Bird Walk Picture

Accessible Birding

Airlie Gardens has an accessible bird outing each month. This is an opportunity for birders of any experience level who may not have the mobility to walk for extended periods of time. You will need to be able to board and exit our tram. If you would like to attend an accessible bird outing, the next one will be held on Thursday, October 19th.

These programs are recommended for ages 8 and up. Pre-registration is required. We recommend that you register early as this program does fill up quickly.  Register here

Nature Discovery Kits

Explore Airlie Gardens in a new way by checking out one of our Nature Discovery Kits! The kits contain activities and books to help you learn about Airlie Gardens and all the beautiful plants and animals that live there. Topics include nature journaling, birds, plants, pollination and animal adaptations.

Kits are recommended for elementary-age children, but anyone is welcome to check them out.  Check out is free - just leave a drivers license or set of keys with the ticket agent.  More Information
