Come Bird With Us
If you're interested in trying out birding, February is a great time to start. As part of a global citizen science project, we will hold two birding events by participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count. Whether you count one bird or hundreds, participating is easy and fun for all ages!
Count with Us! Day 1 (Friday, Feb. 17th – Ages 12+) Airlie Gardens: 8am - 10am Join us as we take part in a global citizen science project initiated by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society and Birds Canada to help scientists learn more about global bird populations before their annual migration. Program also includes a bird hike. Registration required. Cost: $9 Adults (ages 12+), $5 New Hanover County Residents or Military (with ID). Airlie members receive a 50% discount.
Count with Us! Day 2 (Saturday, Feb. 18th – All Ages) Smith Creek Park: 9am-10:30 We will go on a bird hike and play bird bingo before submitting our data to the project! Registration required. Cost: FREE!

Always wanted to try tennis? Now is your opportunity! The Greater Wilmington Tennis Association will host a "Try Tennis" program for adults at Echo Farms Park on Mondays beginning February 13th from 6-7:30pm. Cost: $40. Register here.
