Happy New Year!
As we move into a new year, we continue to be proud to serve the public by providing places for fun and physical activity while helping to build community through facilities and activities that are open to all people. Additionally, we will be undertaking a renovation of the Garden Services Center at Airlie Gardens. We want to improve the visitor experience, update our restrooms and add much needed office and storage space.
Here are some of the highlights of the past year:
- Arrowhead Park tennis courts were converted to pickle ball courts.
- Had a successful season of operations at the Echo Farms pool.
- Began construction on the 42.5-acre Hanover Pines Park (formerly Battle Park) as well as a new walking trail at Northern Regional Park in Castle Hayne.
- Airlie Gardens hosted its TENTH year of art exhibits, HOPPY TIMES!
Visit Parks.NHCgov.com and AirlieGardens.org to learn about these projects and MORE! We hope you and your family have a safe and happy new year and look forward to a great 2023!
Sunday, January 8 is Free Day at Airlie Gardens. Tickets must be reserved in advance and can sell out. Airlie Members do not need to reserve tickets in advance simply show your membership card for entry. Reserve your tickets.
