Airlie Gardens is excited to bring back Family Fun Night this year! Family Fun Night is a special after-hours event celebrating families, friends and everybody's favorite goose dog Reilly! This year's event will feature games, educational booths and activities, food trucks and live music with the Broccoli Brothers Circus! Tickets are $5/person in advance and $9/person on event day. Bird Walk at Smith Creek Park
Join us on July 8 from 8-9:30am for a stroll around Smith Creek Park to see what's flying. Participants will learn basic birding skills as we look for resident and migrating birds. Airlie Gardens Annual Art Exhibit
Celebrating 10 years of art exhibits, this year's exhibit Hoppy Times will feature 10 oversized fiberglass rabbits! Each rabbit has been uniquely decorated, painted and adorned by a select group of artists. The exhibit is included in garden admission and will be on display July 8-December 31, 2022. More Aqua Aerobics!
Echo Farms Park has added more aqua aerobics classes to the schedule! In July, we'll have an evening and weekend class in addition to our weekday classes.
July Aqua Aerobics Schedule Monday: 10-10:45am Wednesday: 12-12:45pm Thursday: 6-7pm Saturday: 8-9am
We also have Aqua Stretching, Meditation & Active Recovery classes Mondays at 12pm and Wednesdays/Fridays at 10am.
Cost to participate is $3/class and all levels of fitness are welcome. Pre-registration is recommended - classes are likely to fill up. Click here to learn more and register

Pollinator Garden Walks
Join educators at 2pm on the first and third Thursdays of each month through October 27 for a guided walk through Airlie Gardens' Pollinator Garden. Participants will learn why pollinators are important and how native plants provide for native wildlife. All ages are welcome. Cost is $9/adults, $5/New Hanover County residents & military, $3/children (4-12) and free for Airlie Members. Pre-registration is required at AirlieGardens.org.

Parks Updates
Ogden Skatepark Bowl Grindline Skatepark Design & Construction is currently replacing the skatepark bowl. Construction is expected to continue through August 2022. Portions of the skatepark will remain open during construction, however, we do expect intermittent closures of the entire skatepark during this process.
Hanover Pines Nature Park The county is now accepting bids for construction of the new park through July 28 at 3pm.
Northern Regional Park Trail Construction of the new paved walking trail at Northern Regional Park will begin later this month.
