Echo Farms

Echo Farms Park

New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington celebrated the completion of renovations at Echo Farms Park on October 29th with a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony.  The completed renovations include resurfacing the clay tennis courts, installation of LED tennis lights, swimming pool updates, construction of a new tennis/pool clubhouse with restrooms, and parking lot and landscaping improvements.

The five existing clay tennis courts at Echo Farms Park opened to the public in September 2018 when the county and city purchased the property in a joint partnership.  Court reservations are $5/hour for New Hanover County residents and $8/hour for non-residents, and may be made at ParksReservations.NHCgov.com.

In the next few years, the county will construct additional clay tennis courts and other park amenities.  Learn more about Echo Farms Park at Parks.NHCgov.com/EchoFarms.

Legacy Tree Fund Grant

We are so excited that the North Carolina Urban Forest Council selected the Parks Conservancy as a recipient of the Legacy Tree Fund grant! The grant will fund the purchase of 45 trees to be planted on three of the county's FEMA properties in February 2021.  The Conservancy, in partnership with the Alliance for Cape Fear Trees, will be seeking volunteers to help with the planting as we get closer to the planting date.   More Information
