New Hanover County COVID-19 Update: No reported deaths this week, Phase 3 remains in place, Flu Thru this Saturday, open testing to start next week

- No deaths of NHC residents from COVID-19 reported this week. Approximately 4,677 residents have recovered from COVID-19, and about 503 currently have an active case of the virus.
- Governor Cooper announced this week that North Carolina will remain in Phase 3 of reopening.
- Free drive-through COVID-19 testing is available starting Tuesday, October 27. Those who have attended gatherings or visited establishments where social distancing was difficult to maintain are encouraged to get tested.
- New Hanover County will offer a free drive-through flu vaccination event Saturday, October 24, starting at 10 a.m. at the CFCC parking lot between Hanover and Brunswick Streets.
