Summer Art Exhibit

Airlie Gardens is excited to host its seventh annual art exhibit, HeART of the Gardens, July through October!  13 artists were chosen to decorate over-sized fiberglass heart models, which will be placed throughout the grounds for guests to enjoy as part of their garden experience.  There is also a prize for guests who find all 13 hearts.  The exhibit is included in garden admission.  More Information

Poo-llution

Help Stop the POO-llution

Lately there has been an increase in the amount of dog waste left behind by users of the Hugh MacRae Dog Park, and we need your help to stop it.  Pet waste pollutes our local creeks and waterways with fecal bacteria levels that exceed clean water standards.  Humans can contract diseases and infections from bacteria and viruses contained in pet waste.  Bacteria and parasites in pet waste can also cause serious water quality problems, which result in polluted drinking water, swimming advisories, and more.  Please do your part to help stop the POO-llution by cleaning up after your pets in the dog park (and any other public spaces).  More Information

splashpad

Splashpad Safety

The splashpad at Hugh MacRae Park is the perfect spot to play on a hot summer day.  We love to see the children play and have fun, but we also want to make sure everyone stays safe and free from injury.  The splashpad was created for children of all ages and abilities.  Please encourage your children to be mindful of smaller kids and kids with mobility impairments, and please- No Running!  Thank you for helping us keep the splashpad safe and enjoyable for ALL!  The complete list of splashpad rules are posted by the splashpad, and may be found online at Parks.NHCgov.com.
