Take a Child Outside Week - September 24-30th
Take a Child Outside Week is observed annually September 24-30th, and is an initiative of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. It is designed to encourage children and adults to spend time together outdoors. There are many benefits to spending time outside- it connects children to the natural world, helps kids focus in school, and reduces the chances of obesity. Your county parks provide the perfect locations to get your family outside! Visit Parks.NHCgov.com to learn about all the parks locations and amenities available to you!
