Join us on Saturday, July 28th from 5-8pm for a celebration of families, friends and everybody's favorite Goose Dog Reilly! Family Fun Night is a special after-hours event where both young and young at heart will enjoy an evening filled with:
- Games, Crafts & Face Painting
- Live Music by Mr. Mark
- Meet & Greet with Reilly the Goose Dog
- Nature Activities & Educational Booths
- Inflatable Obstacle Course
- Port City Gymnastics Flip N' Fun Bus
- Food Trucks & MORE!
Tickets are $5/person in advance and $9/person on event day. Children ages 3 & up must have a ticket. Tickets are available online or onsite in the Gift Shop (open daily 9am-4:30pm). This special event is not included in Airlie Gardens Membership. All proceeds from the event will benefit the care of Reilly, Airlie's working goose dog. Summer Art Exhibit
Airlie Gardens is excited to host its sixth annual art exhibit "Gnome Invasion" July 7th-October 28th! Airlie has selected artists to decorate, paint and adorn 15 over-sized 5-foot-tall garden gnomes. The garden gnomes will be placed throughout the grounds for guests to enjoy as part of their garden experience. The exhibit is included in regular garden admission. Volunteer Work Day
Are you looking for an opportunity to get outdoors, get your hands dirty and give back to the community? Then join our parks staff for a volunteer work day on Tuesday, July 10th from 9am-12pm. 4-H Summer Camps
4-H Summer Fun is a collection of fun educational workshops and hands-on activities planned especially for New Hanover County youth. This program is designed to give youth positive learning opportunities and focus on developing life skills. Camps include:
--Foods Around the World: July 16-20th (ages 5-8) --Making YOU Matter Health & Wellness Retreat: July 27th (rising 6-8th grade girls) --Betsy-Jeff Penn Residential Camp: July 29-Aug 3rd (ages 9-12)

Parks Updates
Pages Creek Park Preserve Kayak Launch Parks staff is making progress on the new kayak launch at Pages Creek Park Preserve! The launch will be the first and only public access to Pages Creek. The project was made possible by a generous grant from Duke Energy Water Resources Fund and should be completed by late July.
Middle Sound Greenway Trail The new Middle Sound Greenway Trail is officially open! The 1.3-mile trail provides another great opportunity for citizens to get outdoors and enjoy activities like walking and biking.
Snows Cut Park Playground Snows Cut Park is getting new playground equipment! Parks staff began removing the old playground on June 28th and installation of the new playground equipment should be complete by July 11th!
