Get fit for a great cause! Join us at Hugh MacRae Park for a morning of outdoor fun and fitness on Saturday, Feb 24th from 8am-12pm. Your favorite instructors will be on hand teaching classes like yoga, boot camp and more! Classes are just $15/each and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Parks Conservancy of New Hanover County. The Parks Conservancy is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to care for and improve our county parks through beautification and improvements such as the Coastal Challenge Course at Northern Regional Park. Airlie Gardens is looking for artists or teams of artists to decorate, paint, and adorn one of 15 oversized fiberglass garden gnomes for our sixth annual Summer Art Exhibit. The five-foot-tall fiberglass garden gnomes will be placed throughout the grounds from July through October for guests to enjoy as part of their summer garden experience. Artists must apply and designs will be selected based on creativity, craftsmanship, use of materials, the ability to appeal to all age groups, outdoor sustainability and durability. Parks & Gardens has opened its second Park Preserve at 1215 Middle Sound Loop Rd! Pages Creek Park Preserve is 23 acres and has a one-mile nature trail. A kayak launch and environmental education are coming soon! More Information
