Trash Mob is Expanding
Are you tired of looking at trash as you drive around the streets of New Hanover County? So are we! And now we're expanding! In addition to our quarterly clean-ups on Harris Road, we now meet monthly at 10am on the third Wednesday of each month at rotating locations around New Hanover County to pick up litter and help keep our county beautiful. This month, the Trash Mob will clean up:
Sat, Jan 13th 9-11am: Harris Road
Wed, Jan 17th 10-11am: N College Road at Kings Drive
All supplies will be provided (safety vests, gloves, bags & trash pickers). Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and can volunteer as an individual or group. Contact Jodi Rich by email or (910) 798-7629 for more information. _______________________________________________________

Get Moving with Parks
Does your New Year's Resolution involve better health? Did you know that people who use parks and open spaces are 3 times more likely to achieve the recommended levels of physical activity than non-users? And, spending time in nature decreases anxiety and lowers levels of depression and stress. The best part is that use of your county parks is absolutely FREE! Visit our website to learn about all the ways you can get more exercise while improving your mental health in a park near you. ________________________________________________________
