Parks & Gardens October ENews
Parks & Gardens strives to maintain and operate parks and facilities that enrich the lives of the community and promote an overall healthier lifestyle.
The Food Truck Rodeo is rolling back to Hugh MacRae Park on Sunday, October 29th from 12-5pm! We will have over 15 local food trucks serving everything from hot dogs to gourmet treats and Boba Funk will entertain us with live music. The event is free to attend- just bring money to purchase your food & drinks. The food trucks will give a portion of their sales back to the New Hanover County Parks Conservancy.
The Conservancy is currently raising money to add a challenge course to Northern Regional Park. The Coastal Challenge Course is an obstacle course with features such as floating boards, agility trainers, traverse wall and ninja steps- similar to "American Ninja Warrior." It is designed to create a fun and social fitness experience for teens and adults of all fitness levels. Learn more about the Coastal Challenge Course here
