Knightdale's business community continues to grow with the opening of a new showroom facility by Just Flooring. To mark the occasion, the company will host a grand opening event on September 5 at its location on N. Smithfield Road. The event represents another investment in Knightdale's commercial landscape and reflects the continued growth and development occurring throughout the community. On November 3, 2026, Knightdale residents will have a chance to vote on the Knightdale Parks and Recreation Bond Referendum. This bond would fund a world-class recreation complex with multiple gymnasiums, fitness studios, and multi-generational programming spaces that will impact all Knightdale residents. We encourage everyone to learn more about what’s proposed and make their voices heard.
The Town of Knightdale is committed to providing residents with clear and factual information so you can make an informed decision.
There are several ways you can get more information about the Parks and Recreation Bond Referendum. You can visit the official website at knightdalebond.com, look out for information tables at Town events with representatives who will help explain the referendum details, or send an email to parksbond@knightdalenc.gov, and a Town representative will get back to you to answer any questions you have.

 Burn Boot Camp Knightdale has become much more than just a fitness center. Owned by Kip & Katy Downer and Brian & Meghan Lafferty, the business has spent the past seven years helping Knightdale residents build healthier lifestyles through fitness, accountability, and community. They are known for their encouraging atmosphere, certified personal trainers, and complimentary child watch program. Burn Boot Camp welcomes individuals of all fitness levels while helping members gain confidence, strength, and lasting healthy habits.
Beyond fitness, Burn Boot Camp Knightdale is deeply involved in the local community through partnerships with local businesses, participation in town events, and fundraising efforts such as its annual support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Their mission remains simple: inspire, empower, and transform lives while creating a positive impact throughout Knightdale.

Knightdale High School is inviting you to join them for C3 Night: Building Bridges through Community on September 18, 2026 at the Knightdale High School stadium. This event, taking place before and during the football game, will kick off Free College Application Week, and we are seeking your support to help inspire and empower our students.
They are especially looking for College Alumni Chapters, Companies (Careers), and Community Organizations to participate by hosting tables and sharing their stories. Wear your college or organization gear to show our students the incredible paths that are represented right here in Knightdale!

Knightdale turns 100 on March 7, 2027 and as Knightdale prepares to celebrate 100 years of community, connection, and growth, residents and businesses are invited to help tell the story of our town. Whether you have a cherished memory to share, a creative business promotion in mind, or a story to tell at an upcoming community event, there are several exciting ways to get involved in the Centennial celebration.
1. Share Your Knightdale Story
Every resident has a unique connection to Knightdale, and we want to hear yours. Community members are invited to submit photos, stories, memories, and historical items through the Town’s online Centennial Story Collection form.
Whether it's a favorite childhood memory, a family photograph, a community milestone, or a story about a special place in town, your contribution can help preserve Knightdale's history for future generations.
Selected submissions may be featured on the Town’s Centennial website, social media channels, or other commemorative materials throughout the celebration year.
2. Businesses: Showcase Your Creativity
Knightdale businesses are encouraged to join the Centennial celebration by creating a special Centennial-themed offering for customers.
Ideas include:

We also had the pleasure of visiting one of Knightdale's talented homegrown entrepreneurs, LaTonya of Cakladelicious. From her front porch bakery operation, LaTonya creates beautifully crafted cakes, cupcakes, and other sweet delicacies that have earned a loyal following in the community. Her passion for baking and commitment to quality shine through in every creation, proving that some of Knightdale's best businesses start right at home.

A Sweet New Chapter for Caketown Bakery
And finally, it's not goodbye, it's see you soon for Caketown Bakery. The beloved local bakery is preparing for an exciting move to a new location right across town. While customers may have to adjust their GPS settings, they'll still be able to enjoy the same baked goods and friendly service that have made Caketown a local favorite. We wish the Caketown team the very best as they begin this next chapter and look forward to visiting them in their new home.

The Town of Knightdale's annual Arts & Education Festival once again brought together residents, community partners, sponsors, volunteers, and staff to help students prepare for a successful school year. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, hundreds of students received valuable back-to-school resources, including bookbags, school supplies, haircuts, braiding services, and other essentials to help them start the academic year with confidence.
Beyond the giveaways, the festival provided a fun and welcoming atmosphere where families could connect with local organizations, enjoy arts-related activities, and celebrate the spirit that makes Knightdale such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. Seeing students' smiles and the excitement on their faces throughout the day was a powerful reminder of why this event continues to be such an important community tradition.
The Arts & Education Festival is more than just a back-to-school event. It is an investment in the future of our community. Each year, we strive to expand our impact and provide even more opportunities and resources for local students. The continued success of this event is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared commitment to supporting the next generation.
